AFRICATUBE
exhibition

AfricaTube is a space and a virtual library on contemporary digital Africa that connects the AfricaMuseum with the afrocyberspace. A group of youngsters search the web for blogs, audiovisual material, platforms, and music from Africa and the African diasporas. AfricaTube shows the internet as a medium for cultural production and exchange without the need for territorial boundaries. Without prejudices and from different perspectives, AfricaTube seeks to share the multiple cultures of technology of the continent.

DE BOVENKAMER
installation

2019
the Upper Room is an audio installation that gives you a look into the upper rooms of four former mental health patients. Each upper room tells something more about their personal search for happiness and brings images that they project into their upper room audibly to life. During the open-air festival Tuin der Lusten you could take a seat on one of the four lifeguard chairs on the site to listen to the stories and spend a moment in the upper room of your fellow man.

SONOREILLE
audio walk

SONOREILLE is an audio walk created through a series of sound sessions where the artists of Forsiti’A explored the art of sonic storytelling. This project offers a unique auditory journey through the city of Brussels, where each artist invites you to pause; unveiling their world and personal narratives through immersive audio works—offering the listener a fresh perspective on the theme perdre sa route.

Forsiti’A initiates and guides socio-artistic projects with vulnerable Brussels residents. The initiative is a collaboration between LinkBrussel, HOBO vzw, and De Markten, aiming for a participatory and community-building approach that creatively shines light on underexposed voices of Brussels.

In collaboration with Max-Lena Vanden Eynde.
